It is hard to believe that we are half-way through the 2012-13 school year. The Fourth Grade Writing Predictors will be administered this week (March 6 & 7), and the Fifth Grade Writing SOLs will begin soon.

In order for our students to continue to be successful during the second half of the year, please continue to partner with us by doing the following:
1. Be sure that your child has a time and place set aside to complete his/her homework and read.
2. Check your child's bookbag, agenda, and homework each night.
3. Read and do fun math activities with your child as often as possible.
4. Be in regular contact with your child's teacher.
5. Make sure your child gets a good night's sleep with no interruptions.
6. Start the day with a healthy breakfast.

For your information, Mr. Horan recently reviewed our School-wide Discipline Plan and the PWCS Code of Behavior with all of our students to remind them about having appropriate behavior and making good choices.

The Book Fair will be March 11 - 15. Please join us for Family Night on Wednesday, March 13 from 5:00 - 7:00. Also, we have several Author Cafes scheduled for the month. Please look for an invitiation from your child's teacher and join us if you can.
